Vegan doesn’t mean you have to limit your intake of fruits and vegetables. Brands are finally adapting and offering healthier vegan snacks. This means that people who don’t eat animal products now have more options.
Beth Stark, a Pennsylvania-based registered nutritionist and dietitian, helped us to compile a list of healthy vegan snacks that were both filling and delicious. Stark advises Woman’s Day to look for snacks that are high in fiber, especially vegan ones. They will keep you fuller for longer which will help you avoid overeating. She also suggests that vegans should seek out healthy snacks that have nutrients that are primarily found in animal-based foods such as iron, calcium, omega 3’s and vitamin B12. This is something that vegans often miss.
These healthy, vegan snacks will keep you satisfied until dinnertime, even when your afternoon cravings hit.
